Instant bank transfers are available for most of our accounts (excluding Notice Accounts and the Reward Savings Account). You can pay in upwards of £100 from your linked bank account in Accounts > Tap on your account > Add money.

Most major banks should be supported for instant bank transfers - you can find a list of supported banks here, on our website. If your bank isn’t listed, then unfortunately Plaid, our payments provider, does not support instant bank transfers from your bank.

If depositing into one of our investment accounts, you’re able to choose whether your instant bank transfer is added to your Available Cash, or invested directly into your chosen investment allocation.

If depositing into a Pension, your transfer will be automatically invested according to your chosen investment allocation.

Please also note that some banks may have additional security steps to process larger payments, such as the use of a card reader.

Funds will typically appear in your account balance within a few minutes, and you’ll receive an email from us to confirm when your funds have arrived. What happens next depends on the type of account you’re depositing into:

Investment accounts 📈

If you’ve opted for your deposit to be invested, we’ll submit this for investment the next working day as per your investment allocation, and the funds will then settle within 2-5 working days.

For deposits into Available Cash, we’ll deposit your funds with the partner bank(s) who power your account the next working day, and this is when you’ll begin earning interest.

Cash accounts 💰

If depositing into a cash account, we’ll deposit your funds with the partner bank(s) who power your account the next working day, and this is when you’ll begin earning interest.

Either way, once you’ve made your transfer, you can see the payment listed in Accounts > Select account > Recent activity.

If you’re experiencing issues making an instant bank transfer, you can find some detailed troubleshooting steps here.
