If you decide to withdraw from your Lifetime ISA for reasons outside of buying a first home or retiring, or before the account has been open for at least 12 months, you can do so in Settings > Withdraw > Lifetime ISA > Another reason.

Please remember that, in this case, your withdrawal will incur the 25% government penalty (except in cases of terminal illness). When entering the amount you’d like to withdraw, you’ll see an estimate on how much you’ll receive after HMRC have deducted the 25% penalty.

If you are withdrawing for a first home or retirement after age 60, you can send us your solicitor's details to get the process started in Settings > Withdraw > Lifetime ISA > Buying first home 🏠 You can view the requirements for using your LISA towards a first home purchase here.

If you are withdrawing to purchase your first home, please note that you will need to start the withdrawal process a few weeks ahead of the completion of your house purchase, and you’ll also need to have a solicitor in place.
