If you’re using the current account switch service to move to a new bank, this change will happen automatically meaning you do not need to manually request to change the linked account in the app.
If you do need to change your linked bank account manually, you can do so in Settings > Tap your name > Bank accounts > Linked account > Request to edit details.
Please also note it’s only possible to set up a Direct Debit with your UK current account, and we aren’t able to link credit, savings, or business accounts.
Once you’ve entered your new bank details in the app, we’ll verify these and your new Direct Debit should be active within 3-5 working days 👍 You’ll receive an email to let you know your new mandate is set up.
Occasionally we’ll need a bit more information before the switch can be approved, such as a recent bank statement. We’ll be in touch via the in-app chat should that happen!
If you're looking to have money collected for an ISA, LISA, or Junior ISA in our final weekly collection for the 2024/25 tax year on 2nd April, please note that we'll need to receive your request by 4pm on 1st April in order for your new bank account to be set up in time for the collection.
