What is investing?

Investing can be a great way to grow your money and may offer higher long-term returns than leaving your money in a current or savings account. Investing in its simplest form is the act of buying an asset with the goal that it will be worth more in the future, and you’ll make a profit. You can invest in all sorts of assets - such as stocks or property.

At Moneybox, you can invest in a broad range of tracker funds, ETFs, and even some of your favourite US companies (currently ISA customers only). You can view all of our investment options on our website, under Investing > Fund range, or Investing > US stocks.

Both the potential risk and potential reward is greater with investing. It should be regarded as longer term (at least 5 years) and you may get back less than you invest. Past performance is also not a reliable guide to future performance.

Please also note that we’re not able to offer financial advice, so you’ll need to make sure that your investment allocations are right for your personal circumstances and financial goals. Moneybox is also a self-directed platform, meaning we do not make any investment decisions on behalf of our customers.
