You’re usually eligible to receive tax relief from the government as long as you’re over 18 and under the age of 75.
However, there may be a limit on how much tax relief you can receive - this is usually dependent on how much money you earn in the UK.
As well as this, you'll need to either:
Have been a tax resident in the UK in the year you joined the pension scheme, and at some point in the 5 tax years before you make your pension contribution; or
You or your spouse have general earnings from overseas Crown employment during the tax year in question.
