How your investments are sold down when a partial withdrawal is requested.

When you request a partial withdrawal from your investments, if you've opted to proportionally sell your funds, we will sell down a portion of each of your funds. We calculate how much to sell based on the percentage each fund represents of your total investments.

For example, if you request a £100 withdrawal and Fund A represents 50% of your total investments, we will sell down £50 of Fund A. Amounts for the remaining funds would be calculated in the same way:

Fund A (50% of investments): Sell £50

Fund B (30% of investments): Sell £30

Fund C (20% of investments): Sell £20

Total withdrawal: £100

The result is that the percentage of each fund in your portfolio will remain the same before and after the sale. This is helpful, because it means the risk profile of your investments will not change.
