How do I request a transfer in the app?
We’re able to transfer from most ISA and LISA providers into Moneybox. If you’d like to transfer your ISA or LISA to us, you can request this by heading to Settings > Transfer in an existing ISA.
Please note that the last opportunity to submit an ISA > Lifetime ISA transfer request for the 2025/26 tax year will be 5pm on 27th February. After this point, ISA > Lifetime ISA transfers will be unavailable in the app until the new tax year begins.
Transfers in must be processed digitally. You can find out more about which providers are supported here, on our website.
Additionally, all transfers are processed as cash transfers. If you hold a Stocks & Shares ISA or LISA and would like to make an in-specie transfer, which involves moving your investments across without selling them, please contact our team to request this.
The subscription date of the transfer will be the date we receive the payment and documentation from your current provider.
How long do transfers take?
Transfers between Cash ISAs should complete within 15 working days from your initial transfer request. If you’re transferring to or from a Stocks & Shares ISA, this period is 30 calendar days.
Transferring a Help to Buy ISA
You can transfer up to £4,000 per tax year from an ISA into a Lifetime ISA, and transferred funds will count towards the tax year the transfer has completed, rather than the tax year the funds were originally contributed to the Help to Buy ISA.
This transfer will count towards your annual £4,000 Lifetime ISA allowance, as you'll earn the 25% government bonus for doing so!
